Background and objectives

FxPro, a recognized leader in Forex and CFDs with multiple industry awards and global recognition, tasked Famesters with increasing traffic, leads, and registrations. The agency focused on finding Influencers with high levels of engagement and the ability to create compelling advertising content.

Strategy and Implementation

What was needed is not just social media posts, but creative advertising content from Influencers that makes an impact on the audience. Therefore, the agency focused on finding creators from Latin America with luxury content, high ER (engagement ratio, which shows how many users actively interact with content on social networks), and the ability to create high-quality advertising creatives.

  • Main objectives: increase recognition, registrations, and deposits;
  • GEO: Latin America, Asia, MENA region;
  • Platforms: YouTube, Instagram.

The search was done in 4 days: they found 189 suitable bloggers, 68 of whom turned out to be ideal candidates.

YouTube and Instagram as key platforms

On YouTube, classic ad integration was implemented, where Influencers demonstrated the advantages of using the FxPro platform. Two strategies were tested on Instagram:

  • Firstly, they tested a format of 2–3 stories dedicated to certain events affecting the market — this way, by linking advertising to current events, they managed to make the advertising content more native and catchy;
  • Secondly, they tested a raffle of McLaren branded goods: FxPro is a sponsor of McLaren, which additionally attracts fans of the second brand and increases the level of trust in the broker. 

Additional benefit: the videos and stories that showed the best results in attracting traffic became the intellectual property of FxPro.

The agency made a deal with Influencer. This is a well–known Latin American entrepreneur — and bought the rights to his advertising campaigns. Now the creatives are reused in targeted advertising and bring FxPro profits even beyond what the Influencer marketing campaign originally yielded.

Results and achievements

And for the time of work (41 videos on YouTube and 80 stories on Instagram) the guys got the following results: 

  • Reach — over 18,000,000 views; 
  • Installations — 18,227;
  • Registrations — 10,567. 

Bonus — rights to creatives and further use of them.

The coverage is impressive — thanks to it they managed to additionally increase FxPro brand awareness in the selected regions. Only 68 niche Influencers managed to achieve such coverage — the ads were actively watched, even taking into account the specifics and themes of the brand and the selected channels.

Conclusions

More than 18K installs and more than 10K registrations — an excellent campaign result for a brand from a complex financial vertical.

In addition, the content that the broker received from this campaign will continue to bring leads: the videos with the creatives remain on YouTube. 

Using creatives created by Influencers to keep them working for you is the new norm that more and more brands and Influencers are adopting. But the thing to remember here is that you can’t just take a blogger’s video and slice it into ads for other platforms:

  1. You should only take creatives that have already shown good results, not any videos with a famous face; 
  2. The rights should be purchased, and a paragraph to that effect should be in your contract with the blogger – that way you will be fully protected from a legal point of view.
